DETROIT — A day after losing to Detroit on a ninth-inning homer, Adam Dunn and the Chicago White Sox returned the favor. Dunn hit a two-run shot deep into the right-field seats off Jose Valverde in the ninth Saturday and Chicago went on to beat the Tigers 3-2. Detroit defeated the White Sox 5-4 on Friday night when Jhonny Peralta hit a two-run shot with one out in the ninth.

SEATTLE, April 22 (UPI) — Alex Rios went 3-for-4 with three RBI Sunday and the Chicago White Sox completed a three-game sweep of Seattle with a 7-4 victory. The White Sox erased a 4-2 deficit in the sixth inning on Rios’ two-run triple, and he then came home with the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly by Kosuke Fukudome. Fukudome also added an RBI single for Chicago, which logged another victory over the Mariners one day after Phil Humber hurled major league baseball’s 21st perfect game.
